Delete your account
You can delete your Cady account at any time, directly from inside the app. Here is everything you need to know.
Open the app
Open Cady on your device and make sure you are signed in to the account you want to delete.
Go to Settings
Tap your profile icon in the navigation bar, then tap Settings.
Select "Delete account"
Scroll to the bottom of Settings and tap Delete account. Confirm when prompted.
30-day grace period
Your account is scheduled for deletion. You have 30 days to cancel the deletion if you change your mind — just sign back in within that window and choose Cancel deletion in Settings.
What gets deleted
- Your profile, display name, and photos
- Your chat history and message threads
- Your match history and interactions
- Your subscription state (cancellation is handled separately through your app store)
- Your account credentials and authentication records
Some limited records may be retained for legal compliance, fraud prevention, or dispute resolution as described in our Privacy Policy.
Cancel a pending deletion
If you scheduled deletion and changed your mind, sign back in to Cady within 30 days. A banner will appear giving you the option to cancel the deletion. After 30 days, deletion is permanent and cannot be undone.
Can't access the app?
If you no longer have access to the app or are unable to complete deletion in-app, email us at privacy@cady.social with the subject line "Account deletion request." Include the email address associated with your account.
We will process your request and confirm deletion within 30 days.
